Adding another beat to the OKC for Soccer rhythm, Nick Gross, the founder of cultural investment and incubation platform Gross Labs, has joined our effort to bring world-class professional soccer to Oklahoma City as part of a transformative real estate development in downtown OKC.
Gross has made an eight-figure investment in the project, which includes the development of a 50-acre multi-use sports and entertainment district, the new MAPS 4 Multipurpose Stadium, and the professional soccer club.
With his investment, Gross joins club majority owner Christian Kanady, founding partner and CEO of Echo Investment Capital; NBA superstar Russell Westbrook; and other prominent OKC leaders to form a strong and sustainable investment group in the club and the district development.
“What we’re building in Oklahoma City rivals any cultural district in the nation,” said Kanady. “It’s more than development; it’s a movement to unite creative and financial capital in one place. With Nick and Russell, we’re proving that the next great American city is being built right here in the center of the country.”
“Sports and entertainment have the power to connect communities through shared experiences,” Gross said. “Partnering with Christian and Russell allows us to create opportunity at every level and support innovative areas of growth in Oklahoma City.”
The new sports and entertainment district will combine year-round stadium events with a music and creator campus, retail and hospitality experiences, public greenspaces and community-driven education powered by Find Your Grind, Gross Labs’ future-ready learning platform for middle and high school students. The project will also include a music festival designed to place Oklahoma City at the center of America’s cultural conversation and fuel long-term economic and creative growth.
Headquartered in Southern California, Gross Labs invests across real estate, sports, media, and hospitality, backing ventures that inspire connection and define modern lifestyle experiences. Its portfolio encompasses investments in sports, media and entertainment, education, and real estate, including interest in David Beckham’s youth snack brand BEEUP, Los Angeles Golf Club, professional soccer club Necaxa, X Games, Breakaway Music Festival, Brekky Golf Company, and Big Noise Music Group, among others.
